Whether your trying to track down an old Fidelity 401(k) or brokerage account and you can’t seem to find your current account’s number, we can help!
There are several ways for you to find your Fidelity 401(k) account number, depending on whether you use Fidelity’s website or its mobile app. Regardless which option you choose, you should be able to quickly find your Fidelity account number by following the steps below.
First, you’ll want to log in to your Fidelity account by navigating to the Fidelity website. Enter your user ID and password to finish the login process. If you’re unsure of your login account details, you may need to reset your password. Be prepared to answer some security and account verification questions. You may even be prompted to enter a PIN you created during your account setup. The PIN number offers added account protection for the account holder as an extra security measure.
After you’ve logged in as the account holder, navigate to the “Accounts & Trade” tab and click on the “Account Positions” button.
Under the name of each account will be the corresponding 9-digit account number. From there, you can access your account information and review your account balance. You can even review your transaction history, check your account balance, and lookup a specific deposit or transfer you made into your retirement savings or investment accounts. If you haven’t spent much time doing so in the past, you may want to review your portfolio by looking at your securities and or asset allocations to familiarize yourself with your retirement strategy.
Don’t see your account number?
If you just opened your account, it may take up to 24 hours for your account number to appear. Check your email for any further instruction on your account details from your provider. Most institutions will email you once the account set-up is complete but we recommend checking back after a few minutes.
Using your phone, download the Fidelity mobile app if you don’t already have it. Proceed with logging in to your account as you normally would online.
Towards the bottom of the screen, tap on the “Accounts” section to pull up all of your Fidelity brokerage accounts.
Under the name of each account will be the corresponding 9-digit account number. Again, it may be wise to review your account details to familiarize yourself with the account.

If you followed both processes above and still are having trouble finding your Fidelity account number, you can always call Fidelity at 1 (800) 343-3548. After supplying necessary information, they should be able to help you access any account details you’re looking for.

You can either roll it over into an IRA, move it into your new employer’s plan, make an account withdrawal (though, generally not advisable due to taxes and penalties), or leave it where it is if you’re happy.
