Lehigh Valley Health Network
The Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is an integrated healthcare system consisting of several hospitals, multiple health centers, and a research institute in the eastern Pennsylvania region. Established in 1899 as Allentown Hospital, LVHN has grown to become one of the most comprehensive healthcare providers on the east coast. Today its network includes 12 hospitals, 2,700 physicians & advanced practice clinicians, over 18,000 team members and over 2,500 volunteers throughout seven counties in Eastern Pennsylvania & Western New Jersey. The network offers a wide range of primary care services including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics/gynecology; advanced specialty care such as heart and vascular services, oncology services; surgical specialties such as orthopedics, neurosurgery and bariatric surgery; as well as behavioral health services. In 2014 LVHN was ranked among U.S News & World Report’s Best Hospitals for the 7th consecutive year placing it among the top 1% of hospitals nationwide. Additionally LVHN is affiliated with Mayo Clinic Care Network offering access to world class specialists at local level across many different medical conditions and treatments.
