White Castle
White Castle is a fast food hamburger restaurant chain in the United States. It is known for its small, square burgers and is one of the oldest fast-food chains in America, founded as far back as 1921. Its headquarters are located in Columbus, Ohio. The original location was opened by founder Billy Ingram in Wichita, Kansas and served hamburgers for just five cents each at the time. In 1924 White Castle became one of the first fast food restaurants to use a limited menu consisting of just five burgers which became known as ‘sliders’. Since then it has grown to become one of the largest hamburger chains with locations across 13 states and more than 390 stores currently operating nationwide.
