VCA
VCA Inc. is a pet care business offering veterinary services and pet care products across the United States with more than 660 animal hospitals and diagnostic laboratories. VCA was founded in 1986 by two veterinarians, Arthur Antin and Jack Walther, who began with just one veterinary hospital in Los Angeles, CA. In 1989 VCA acquired several other hospitals and subsequently formed an umbrella company called Veterinary Centers of America (VCA). As the years went on, VCA acquired more businesses to become one of the largest providers of animal healthcare services in North America. By 1996, VCA had expanded its network nationwide; today it provides pet owners access to over 700 locations including nearly 1,000 full-service centers around the U.S., Canada, Japan as well as Australia that offer preventative/wellness care, medical diagnostics and treatments as well as 24-hour emergency animal health services. Today VCA continues to be a leader in providing quality health care for companion animals and other small mammals at all life stages by utilizing advanced technology and progressive techniques designed to meet each individual patient’s needs throughout their lifetime.
