Panda Restaurant Group, founded by Andrew and Peggy Cherng in 1973, is a family-owned business that operates regional Chinese restaurant chains. The first Panda Express was established at the Glendale Galleria in California, which eventually grew to become the largest Asian dining concept in the United States. Today, Panda Restaurant Group has more than 2,000 restaurants across 42 states and 11 countries located within highly populated retail and shopping venues including malls, airports, universities as well as military bases around the world.
