Panda Restaurant Group, founded by Andrew and Peggy Cherng in 1973, is a family-owned business that operates regional Chinese restaurant chains. The first Panda Express was established at the Glendale Galleria in California, which eventually grew to become the largest Asian dining concept in the United States. Today, Panda Restaurant Group has more than 2,000 restaurants across 42 states and 11 countries located within highly populated retail and shopping venues including malls, airports, universities as well as military bases around the world. From its roots in fast casual Chinese cuisine served up with friendly customer service at an accessible price point; Panda continues to innovate its menu offerings while expanding its presence both domestically and internationally. In addition to their signature dishes such as Orange Chicken and Beijing Beef Bowls, they’ve added new items like Firecracker Shrimp over the years by listening to customers feedback through their Guest Care program.
