Good Samaritan Society
The Good Samaritan Society is a non-profit health care organization with over 200 years of history in providing quality, compassionate care to seniors and others in need. Founded in 1949 by Pastor Maurice Feil, the Good Sam Society was originally founded as a home for the disadvantaged elderly in Fargo, North Dakota. Now operating more than 300 residential and community-based senior living communities across 24 states and two provinces in Canada, they offer services such as assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing programs/care centers, independent/supportive living apartments, adult day program/services, rehab therapy services and hospice. Today the mission of the Good Sam Society remains true to its roots – providing excellent service through a faith-based approach that respects each resident’s autonomy while supporting their well being holistically.
