Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. (Diamond) is a leading comic book and pop culture distributor based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Founded in 1982 by Steve Geppi as The Geppi's Comic World Distribution Company, Diamond serves as the exclusive distribution conduit for comic books and related merchandise from over 1300 publishers to more than 4500 retail stores around the world. Diamond also operates its own warehouse facilities in Timonium, Maryland; Olive Branch, Mississippi; Los Angeles, California; and Portland, Oregon to ensure timely delivery of product to stores locally and internationally. In 1995, Geppi restructured the company into two separate entities—Diamond Comic Distributors and Gemstone Publishing—with Diamond operating as a wholesale operation while Gemstone specialized in consumer sales through catalogs and online retail outlets. Since then, Diamond has become an industry leader with a focus on providing superior customer service while offering quality products at competitive prices.
