Vestas America Holding, Inc. is a subsidiary of Vestas Wind Systems A/S, a Danish wind turbine manufacturer founded in 1945. The company specializes in wind and solar energy solutions for residential, commercial and utility customers across the Americas. Its wide range of products includes onshore and offshore turbines, blades, towers, control systems and service & maintenance solutions. In addition to manufacturing components for its own turbines, Vestas America Holding also supplies parts and services to other OEM manufacturers. It currently operates out of offices in Fort Collins and Denver (Colorado), Portland (Oregon) and Vieux Fort (St Lucia), employing more than 2200 people across 23 states plus St Lucia. The holding company invests heavily in research & development with over 1 billion Euros spent since 2005 on various projects run from its Colorado hub where 140 specialist engineers are based.
