The Research Foundation for Suny
The Research Foundation for the State University of New York (RF SUNY) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that was established in 1951 to advance and support research, education, and public service initiatives throughout the 64 SUNY campuses across New York. The RF SUNY plays an important role in promoting the highest quality of teaching and learning within the system by providing assistance to faculty and students through applied research projects, awards programs, workshops, conferences, seminar series and other scholarly activities. Additionally, the foundation administers contracts from federal grants, state sponsorships and private donors. This helps to ensure continued support for high level academic research programs statewide as well as technology transfer initiatives that bring new innovations into the marketplace. Since its inception nearly 70 years ago, RF SUNY has been instrumental in helping to build a strong educational infrastructure in New York's higher educational sector.
