The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, Inc., (MFA) is a non-profit professional association of physicians affiliated with the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Founded in 2000 by a group of medical faculty members from the GW Medical Program, MFA has grown into a major multi-specialty practice serving patients in Bethesda, MD; Fairfax County, Va.; and Washington, DC. Consisting of more than 1,000 primary care providers and specialists across more than 20 disciplines, MFA serves as one of the largest employers of medical personnel in this geographic area. Through its patient-centered approach to health care delivery, MFA offers comprehensive services including preventative health care services; urgent and emergent care; laboratory testing; telemedicine programs; imaging services such as X-Rays; advanced clinical trials and research facilities - all dedicated to providing convenient access to high quality health care for patients throughout the region. In addition to providing healthcare services for patients at their various locations throughout Maryland, Virginia and D.C., MFA also provides extensive continuing medical education opportunities for its practicing physician members as well as offering graduate degree programs in medicine through its partnership with The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences.
