Seneca Foods Corporation is a leading global food and ingredients manufacturer that specializes in the production, packaging, and sale of packaged fruits, vegetables, and other food products since 1949. It was founded as Seneca Canning Company by Claudius O. Bills in the 1940s when he began to develop proprietary canning technology from his garage. The company incorporated soon after and expanded with factories across the country that included California, Oregon, Kentucky, South Carolina and New York. During its more than 70-year history it has grown exponentially through strategic acquisitions that have brought dozens of brands into the fold including Stokely’s (1956), Libby's Vegetables & Fruits (1967), Maple Grove Farms of Vermont (2004) among many others.
