Rue21 Inc. is a specialty retailer of trends and fashion apparel and accessories for young men and women. It was founded in 1970 by Cary Klein as one small store located in the greater Pittsburgh area suburb of Warrendale, Pennsylvania. With its goal of providing fast-fashion, Rue21 grew rapidly to become an international retailer with over 644 stores across the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and online. The stores primarily target teens aged 14-17 with a selection of on-trend apparel from international brands such as Nike and Adidas along with private label apparel designed exclusively for Rue21. In addition to clothing, Rue21 also offers accessories such as sunglasses, jewelry, watches, hats, wallets and backpacks. Over the past four decades Rue21 has continuously evolved their products to meet changing consumer trends while maintaining competitive prices.
