Otis College Of Art And Design
Otis College of Art and Design is a private art college located in West Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1918 by entrepreneur and philanthropist General Harrison Otis Chandler, originally called the Otis Art Institute. In 1969, the school became independent from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and changed its name to Otis College of Art and Design. Today, it offers bachelor's degrees across 19 disciplines—including traditional fine art programs as well as more unusual areas such as fashion design, toy design, product development, media design technology and animation. The college also provides community education classes for adults ages 18 through 65+. With just over 900 students enrolled each year from all over the world, Otis College emphasizes individual learning styles and creative exploration in its curriculum while developing a diverse network of professional contacts for their graduates.
