Oakwood Healthcare, Inc. is a nonprofit integrated health system serving Michigan's Wayne and Monroe counties since 1958. The company was founded as Woodhaven Community Hospital in Dearborn and Monroe; in the 1960s, it grew to include additional locations throughout Southeast Michigan. In 2014, Oakwood merged with Beaumont Health System to expand its capabilities to include hospitals, urgent care centers, home care services, senior living communities, physician practices and multiple research facilities. Over the years it has continued to grow by adding new locations and expanding its existing sites. Today, Oakwood Healthcare provides comprehensive healthcare services across a full continuum of care with more than 50 clinical sites that offer advanced medical technology and access to specialized physicians in multiple specialties including orthopedics, neurosciences, oncology and women's health.
