Community Hospitals of California
Community Hospitals of California (CHC) is a nonprofit healthcare system that serves the communities of southeastern San Francisco and southern Marin County, California. Established in 1897, CHC was created through the merger of St. Luke's Hospital and Seton Medical Center – two medical centers with long histories of providing quality care to their respective communities. Since its inception, CHC has built on both hospitals’ strengths to offer comprehensive services ranging from preventive health and primary care services to more specialized care including heart surgery, cancer treatment, orthopedics, neurosurgery and rehab therapy. The integrated network continues to expand its reach offering new treatments such as gene therapy for rare diseases and tele-health appointments for rural patients across Northern California. Underlying all these improvements is CHC’s guiding commitment to excellence in compassionate healthcare throughout the region it serves.
