Touro College, Inc. is a private non-profit educational institution based in New York City. Founded in 1971 by Dr. Bernard Lander as a small liberal arts institution based on Jewish values and traditions, it has grown into the largest independent university system for higher education under Jewish auspices in the United States. With headquarters in Manhattan and branch campuses located throughout the country, including California, Florida, Nevada and more, Touro College serves over 19,000 students who are pursuing degrees at its various affiliated institutions across fields such as health sciences, business administration and technology. In addition to undergraduate programs, Touro also offers graduate and professional degrees online through its Virtual Campus initiative as well as synagogues and community centers around the world.
