Tegna Inc. is a media and technology provider based in McLean, Virginia that was established in 2015 with the separation of Gannett Co., Inc into two publicly traded companies. Prior to this split, Gannet Co. had been providing broadcast television and digital media solutions since 1906. Tegna currently provides content services for 46 television stations across 38 markets throughout the United States, as well as operating leading local digital sites and businesses across 23 markets. In addition to broadcasting services, Tegna also operates prevision subscription video on-demand (SVOD) service “Stirr” and operates TEGNA Marketing Solutions which offers targeted advertising opportunities via trusted properties such as Cars.com, CareerBuilder and other partners.
