Sparrow Health System
Sparrow Health System is a Michigan-based health care organization serving millions of patients each year. It was established in 1912 under the name Ingham County Medical Society and initially provided physician services to the community. Over time, Sparrow has grown to become an integrated healthcare delivery system providing quality patient care throughout mid-Michigan and beyond. Today, Sparrow houses 8 hospital campuses across 4 counties with numerous outpatient centers, laboratories and urgent cares; 2 nursing homes; several senior living communities; home health services; and partnerships with other organizations such as Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM). Its mission statement is “to improve the health status of individuals in our communities every day” which has been consistently held for more than 120 years.
