Southcoast Health System
Southcoast Health System is a non-profit healthcare system located in southeastern Massachusetts, dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient, and accessible care for the community. Founded in 1899 as three hospitals - St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford; Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River; and Tobey Hospital in Wareham - SHSP has grown over the last century to include multiple medical centers and physician practices throughout Rhode Island and South Eastern Massachusetts. They are committed to providing high quality care delivered by an expert team of caregivers who use state-of-the art technology with compassion and respect for their patients' needs. The partnership brings together health services from the groups that make up the system – Southcoast Hospitals Group, Steward Physician Network, Southcoast Medical Group Primary Care & Specialty Care Services, Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Massachusetts, St. Anne’s Hospital–Fall River Campus, Landmark Medical Center–Woonsocket Campus and Home & Community Based Services –to deliver excellent patient outcomes through coordinated continuity of care throughout their entire network. SHSP serves more than 700 thousand individuals annually across its service area.
