Simmons Foods Inc is a family-owned business specializing in pet food ingredients, animal feeds and ready-to-eat chicken products. Founded in 1949 by J.B. Simmons as the Simmons Hatchery, the company began with just a few employees and one small hatchery in southwest Arkansas. Soon after, they expanded into feed milling operations to provide nutritional supplements for poultry that was raised on the farm. In 1954, they acquired their first processing plant and began providing prepared poultry products across the U.S., expanding their distribution network over time. They now have seven facilities located throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri that focus on producing quality ingredients for pet food manufacturers as well as high-quality products for foodservice distributors worldwide.
