Scripps Health is a non-profit health care system based in San Diego, California. Founded in 1924 by philanthropist Ellen Browning Scripps, the organization has grown to be one of the largest health systems in California and operates four acute-care hospitals, three specialty hospitals, and numerous outpatient facilities throughout San Diego County. Additionally, Scripps provide specialized services such as home healthcare and hospice services, nursing homes and rehab centers, research institutes dedicated to medical breakthroughs and prevention education. The organization delivers high quality patient care through its team of nearly 3,000 physicians and over 16,000 employees.
