Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is a publicly traded information technology and professional services company based in Reston, Virginia. With annual revenues of nearly $8 billion, SAIC provides services including enterprise IT, cybersecurity, engineering and analytics to clients across the public sector and commercial markets. Founded as a private company in 1969 as Science Applications Inc., it was established by Dr. J. Robert Beyster to provide technical consulting support primarily to defense-related programs at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Los Alamos National Laboratory.
