Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics is a multi-faceted healthcare organization located in Salem, Oregon. Founded as Willamette Valley Medical Center in 1921, the hospital was reincorporated as Salem Hospital in 1896. As the hospital grew, it became home to a variety of services that included medical care in the form of a 45-bed acute care facility, an outpatient clinic and specialty clinics for cardiology, oncology and womens’ health. By 2006 it had grown into an award-winning five-hospital system serving Marion and Polk counties. Today Salem Health operates two hospitals – Salem Hospital and West Valley Hospital – along with multiple clinics covering various specialties including Behavioral Health, Critical Care Medicine, Diabetes Education/Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & Nutrition Services, General Surgery/Bariatrics and Imaging Services. The Salem Health team provides comprehensive patient care from diagnosis to recovery through their network of integrated providers who specialize in delivering high quality outcomes for patients with complex health issues.
