Rackspace US, Inc., is a provider of cloud computing services that was founded in 1998. Formerly known as Mosso, the company specializes in managed hosting and cloud-computing services ranging from virtual private servers to dedicated server hosting. It also provides software development and implementation services such as site design, database architecture, application programming and business process engineering. Rackspace has offices in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia Pacific region offering support in more than 20 countries worldwide. The company partnered with Microsoft Azure in 2014 to create a public cloud platform which combined Rackspace’s expertise with Microsoft's technology for customers around the world looking for highly reliable hybrid solutions. In 2016 it acquired ZeroStack Inc., expanding its public exchange offerings with an automated resource management solution on top of a private infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platform.
