Promedica Health System is a regional non-profit health system based in Toledo, Ohio. Founded in 1986, Promedica serves 30 counties in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. It consists of 13 hospitals, numerous outpatient and specialty care locations, senior care facilities, an insurance company and the region's only hospice provider. The organization employs 56,000 people and has more than 2 million patient encounters each year. It also operates two medical colleges – one in partnership with the University of Toledo and one in partnership with Bowling Green State University – as well as a college of pharmacy at its main campus.
