Northshore University Healthsystem
Northshore University Healthsystem (NUH) is a non-profit healthcare organization founded in 1891. It was previously known as Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, which provided medical care to the residents of Evanston and the surrounding communities. NUH currently operates four hospital campuses in Chicago’s north suburbs: NorthShore Highland Park Hospital, NorthShore Skokie Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital and Evanston Hospital. In addition to its hospitals, NUH also offers primary and specialty care services such as urgent care centers and outpatient clinics at more than 400 locations throughout Lake County, Illinois. The system also includes dedicated research facilities that focus on advancing medical treatments for numerous conditions including cancer, heart disease and stroke. NUH is affiliated with several academic institutions including the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Rush Medical College and Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science.
