Multicare Health System is a non-profit health care organization dedicated to providing quality, compassionate care to all. Founded in 1893 as Tacoma General Hospital by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, Multicare has grown over the decades to include eight hospitals and over 70 primary and specialty care clinics throughout Washington State. In addition to its hospitals, Multicare offers services such as home health, hospice and palliative care, senior living communities and medical research. In 2019, it had more than 1 million patient visits across its network of facilities. It employs more than 15,000 people including physicians, nurses and other medical professionals who provide personalized and comprehensive healthcare services for patients in Washington State.
