M. Arthur Gensler Jr. & Associates, Inc., commonly known as Gensler, is an American professional services firm that specializes in architecture, design, planning and consulting services for a wide array of facilities including offices, retail stores, airports and stadiums. It is the largest architecture firm in the world and currently has over 5300 employees working out of 46 local offices across three continents. It was founded by M. Arthur Gensler Jr., an architect from San Francisco who graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Architecture in 1951. He began what eventually became Gensler in 1965 with four other partners; James Follett, Peter yanowitch, Robert often and Scott Brown after he had already established himself as a successful architect with his own projects over the previous decade.
