Live Nation Entertainment, Inc., also known as Live Nation, is a global entertainment company headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. Founded in January 25, 2010 as SFX Entertainment by Robert F. X. Sillerman, it was the first to consolidate individual concert promoters into one national company and changed the industry for years to come. Since then it has grown steadily throughout North America and internationally through its acquisition of companies such as House of Blues (2006), Festival Network (2005), Clear Channel Music Venues (2002) and Ticketmaster (2000). Live Nation operates venues including clubs, amphitheaters and arenas; produces festivals like Lollapalooza; creates tours such as U2's 360° Tour; sells tickets through its Ticketmaster division; distributes music worldwide via Front Line Management Group; provides artist management services with ArtistNation; produces live media content under EMI Music Services’ Brand Events & Media unit; sponsors athletes with IMG Artists & Celebrities operations' Streetsweeper Social Club label and runs many other businesses that revolve around delivering the best entertainment experience to fans all over the world.
