Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC (LLNS) is a limited liability company formed in 2007 to manage and operate Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). LLNL was established by the University of California in 1952 as a national laboratory dedicated to enhancing US national security through the application of advanced science and technology.
