Lancaster General Health
Lancaster General Health is a nonprofit health system based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Established in 1893 as the Lancaster City Hospital, it was originally funded by the donations of members of the local community. Over the years, it has grown to include a network of hospitals and outpatient facilities that provide access to primary healthcare services and advanced medical care. Its primary locations are Lancaster General Hospital and Women & Babies Hospital. In addition to its acute care hospitals, it also offers an extensive range of highly specialized services such as pediatric care, home care and hospice, behavioral health services, surgical centers, physician practices, comprehensive cancer services and rehabilitation programs. The health system is dedicated to improving patient care through innovative technologies, clinical research studies and evidence-based practice standards.
