Jennie-O Turkey Store is a U.S. producer and marketer of poultry products, focused on turkey products such as fresh ground turkey, deli meat slices, pre-cooked entrees, refrigerated sausage links and patties. It was founded in 1940 by Earl Sather when he bought his first small flock of turkeys for breeding purposes. Since then the company has grown to become one of America’s largest suppliers of premium quality poultry–selling both raw and ready to eat products across retail stores in all 50 states in the USA under its own brand name “Jennie-O” . In 2011 it became part of Hormel Foods Corporation following an acquisition deal that gave them access to better technology and resources; this enabled further expansion into international markets like Mexico & parts of Asia along with continued organic growth within North America.
