IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IAC) is an American media and internet company, founded in 1995 by media entrepreneur Barry Diller. It initially began as Silver King Broadcasting Company, which operated television stations and later became USA Networks Inc., taking over domestic television production and broadcasting interests. In 2003 the name changed to USA Interactive to reflect its diversification into e-commerce, entertainment services, ticketing sites and video hosting websites. The company was rebranded InterActiveCorp in 2005 when it became publicly traded on Nasdaq. Today IAC consists of five business segments that contain numerous well-known brands such as HomeAdvisor, Angie’s List, Ask.com, Match Group (includes Tinder), Vimeo Media Platforms and more than 150 other consumer brands dating back from the mid 1990's up until present day. Its portfolio businesses have an international platform that operates across 30 countries with a broad reach into different vertical markets including digital marketplaces for products and services for both consumers and professionals; travel products & services; subscription dating products; video; voice & communications platforms; search engines among many others.
