It is currently headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee and operates over 30 acute care and specialized hospitals across Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The organization also provides affiliated services through a network of physician practices and outpatient centers. Founded by Rolf Tore Larsen working with a team of investors from Norway, Iasis HealthCare began as PROVO Corporation with one hospital in Anderson County, Tennessee. In 2000 it acquired eight more hospitals from Republic Heathcare Corporation before merging with HCA's Triad Hospitals Incorporated in 2007 to become one of the largest for-profit healthcare providers in the United States.
