Harris
The Harris Corporation is an American technology company with a long and distinguished history. Founded as the Harris Automatic Press Company in 1895, it began by producing business forms and various other printed materials such as labels. After the Second World War, it evolved into one of the first commercial radio manufacturers, designing and manufacturing two-way radios for businesses throughout America. In 1961, the company acquired Radiation Inc., a manufacturer of satellite communications equipment. This helped to propel them forward in technological advancements and led to production of satellites for NASA’s Apollo Program that took man to the moon. Later on they diversified further into military communications products while continuing to serve its commercial customers worldwide with industrial electronics systems, professional broadcasting equipments, energy industry equipment centers and space launch systems. Today, Harris stands as a leader in state-of-the-art electronic systems from communication technologies to content delivery platforms - all driven by their commitment to innovation and customer service excellence.
