Graphic Packaging International, LLC is a leading developer and manufacturer of paper-based packaging solutions for consumer products. The company was founded in 1978 in Marietta, Georgia, as Graphic Packaging Corporation (GPC). It began with one folding carton plant supplying multiple customers throughout the Southeastern United States. In 1988 GPC acquired Riverdale Paper Company, which became its first sister manufacturing facility outside the Southeast region. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s GPC continued to expand its portfolio of plants and capabilities by acquiring other companies such as Bay Cities Container Corporation, Novopak Corp., Meadowland Inc. and Heller Machine Corporation. In 2014 GPC announced it would become an independent publicly traded company and legally changed its name to Graphic Packaging Holding Company (GPK), and officially changed their corporate name to Graphic Packaging International, LLC in 2017. GPK continues to grow its global presence through acquisitions including Longview Fibre Paper & Packaging Inc., FruitPack BVBA & Apollo Vivid Group Ltd. Today GPK operates over 80 facilities in 18 countries with more than 17000 employees worldwide - providing sustainable packaging solutions for many well-known brands across markets around the globe.
