Georgia-Pacific is a leading American pulp and paper company founded in 1927 by Owen R. Cheatham in Augusta, Georgia. It is the largest producer of tissue, pulp, packaging, building products and related chemicals in North America. Its product portfolio also includes hardwood lumber and OSB (oriented strand board) timber products, bleached kraft paperboard used for brand protection and food packaging, corrugated containers used for beverage cartons and shipping boxes, molded fiber products made from recycled content such as egg cartons and berry containers, specialty papers like cellulose wadding used in health care applications and digital printing papers. With over 60 manufacturing facilities located throughout North America and several brands including Angel Soft®, Quilted Northern®, Brawny® Paper Towels etc., Georgia-Pacific has established a strong presence across multiple industries ranging from consumer to industrial markets.
