Genesis Health System is a healthcare organization located in the Quad Cities region of Illinois and Iowa. Founded in 1869 by the merger of Moline’s St. Anthony’s Hospital, Davenport-based Mercy Hospital, and Rock Island-based Trinity Hospital, Genesis has grown to become one of the largest employers in the Quad Cities area with more than 5,000 staff and physicians operating over 40 locations across five counties. Their service offerings include acute care hospitals, outpatient centers for imaging and laboratory services, senior living communities, occupational health services, specialty physician practices such as cardiology and orthopedics; home health care services; hospice care; retail pharmacies; walk-in clinics; urgent cares centers; an advanced immunotherapy cancer center at Genisus Cancer Care Institute (GCCI); physical therapy through Genesis Physical Therapy Centers (GPTC)and mental health counseling through Virginia Gay Recovery Services (VGRS).
