Froedtert Health, Inc. is a health care system based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that was founded in 1980 as the Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital. The organization has grown to become one of southeastern Wisconsin’s largest employers and includes two primary hospitals, three community-based acute care centers, several physician practices with more than 600 physicians, and dozens of other services ranging from home health to specialty clinics. In 1996 it became an independent nonprofit corporation known as Froedtert Health, Inc. Its vision is to be “the health care leader delivering world-class healthcare." Over the years they have added new clinical campuses such as Menomonee Falls Community Hospital in 1999 and Woodland Prime Surgery Center in 2003 which allowed them to expand their reach throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Additionally they have opened multiple urgent care facilities offering procedures like sports physicals and X-rays while also providing specialty services like behavioral health, orthopedics/sports medicine, palliative/hospice care, and wound healing & hyperbaric medicine at numerous locations across Wisconsin.
