Comfort Systems USA Inc (“Comfort Systems”) is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange and is one of the largest providers of mechanical services in the U.S. They provide heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, piping, and related services to commercial, industrial and institutional customers across the United States. The company has been providing these services since 1997 when Todd Macomber founded Comfort Systems as Construction Services Group in Houston. At that time there were only 11 employees but through expansion of its customer base and acquisition of other companies the organization grew rapidly over time with 30 locations throughout the U.S. Today Comfort Systems now employs more than 9500 people and provides contractors for specialized construction projects such as complex medical care systems or intricate data centers requiring precision service installation combined with disciplined project management practices.
