Cheddar's Casual Cafe, Inc is an American restaurant chain founded in 1979 by Aubrey Good and Doug Rogers. Initially based out of Arlington, Texas, the company now spans across 28 states with its headquarters in Irving, Texas. Cheddar’s serves a variety of classic American cuisine such as Tex-Mex dishes, burgers and sandwiches, steaks and ribs, seafood entrees and specialty salads. The company is known for its affordable prices and generous portion sizes; many locations offer full-service bars that serve beer, mixed drinks and wine. Cheddar’s prides itself on providing quality food at casual prices while also focusing on delivering exceptional customer service. In 2019 the chain was acquired by Darden Restaurants for $780 million dollars making it one of the largest restaurant acquisitions in history.
