Celgene Corporation is a global biopharmaceutical company based in Summit, New Jersey. Founded in 1986, Celgene develops and markets treatments for cancer and other severe chronic diseases such as Crohn's Disease, psoriasis, lupus, anemia and multiple sclerosis. The Company has developed several breakthrough drugs that are now marketed worldwide. In 2006, it launched Revlimid®, a drug to treat certain forms of cancer including leukemia and multiple myeloma; in 2013 it released Otezla® for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis; and Pomalyst/Imnovid® which was approved by the FDA in 2014 for the treatment of Multiple Myeloma. In 2019 Celgene was acquired by Bristol-Myers Squibb bringing together two highly complementary businesses with leading brands enabling patients around the world better access to life-changing medicines .
