Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Llc
Burlington Northern Santa Fe, LLC (BNSF) is a freight railroad company, established in 1995 through the merger of Burlington Northern and the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. It is one of the leading U.S. railroads with over 32,500 miles of railway within 28 states, as well as into major Canadian destinations such as Alberta and British Columbia. BNSF also has connections to major Mexican gateways through its subsidiary-BNSF Mexico. The company began service after Congress approved a federal law allowing for the merger and consolidation of two major railroads - Burlington Northern and ATSF Railway- which owned twice weekly service from Chicago to Los Angeles that operated by diesel-electric locomotives between 25-45 mph on average routes. Following the acquisition of several other companies during this period; BNSF managed to increase its network and expand into more states across America - connecting Seattle to Chicago on one stretch - while further expanding its international reach in Mexico and Canada in 1997/1998 respectively. Today, BNSF is a highly successful freight railway system that offers efficient end-to-end solutions for customers while operating some of the most advanced locomotive trains currently used today. Being one of North America's premier transportation companies offers various services via rails including shipping goods ranging from agricultural products to coal, auto parts, oil and gas among many others goods reliably day or night throughout 28 States throughout US plus Canada & Mexico making it one of best logistics networks across America
