Artic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC) is an Alaskan Native Regional Corporation established under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971. ASRC represents and serves as a business and economic catalyst for Alaska’s North Slope region, which includes villages in the Arctic and North Slope boroughs. As a for-profit corporation with 13,000 Alaska Native shareholders, ASRC manages more than 88 million acres of subsurface land on behalf of its owners – in addition to providing support services to shareholders and businesses across the region. Throughout its history spanning four decades, ASRC has been a strong supporter of sustainable development activities both within their communities as well as throughout the state – while still preserving tradition values to ensure cultural continuity into future generations. Through investments in natural resources, energy, tourism hospitality & retail services, construction contracting & real estate development ASRC continues to provide long-term economic benefits while maintaining stewardship responsibility over their lands in accordance with traditional subsistence practices.
