Albert Einstein Healthcare Network
Albert Einstein Healthcare Network (AEHN) is a non-profit, integrated healthcare system with approximately 1,800 primary care physicians and specialists at more than 200 sites in the Philadelphia region. It was founded in 1866 by a small group of philanthropists who had recently established the first Jewish hospital and medical school in North America. AEHN was created to arrange for the delivery of free medical care to Jewish immigrants upon their arrival in Philadelphia. Over time, the network evolved into an extensive provider of healthcare services to individuals from all backgrounds throughout the region. Today, AEHN includes five hospitals located across Philadelphia which offer advanced technology, treatments and facilities for specialty care, cancer treatment and research.[1] In addition to providing quality healthcare services, AEHN also focuses on preventive health measures through community outreach activities such as immunization clinics; health education programming; wellness classes; nutrition courses and schools physicals among others.
