Alaska Airlines Inc
Alaska Airlines Inc is an American airline headquartered in SeaTac, Washington. Founded in 1932 as McGee Airways, it was later renamed Alaska Star Airlines before being rebranded to the current title in 1944. The carrier currently operates flights to 115 destinations across the United States, Mexico, Canada and Costa Rica; its fleet comprises of Airbus A320 family aircraft and Boeing 737s for its mainline operations, with regional services flown by Horizon Air on Embraer 175s and Bombardier Q400s. Alaska Airlines is ranked as having one of the largest networks among US airlines since 2018 when it merged with Virgin America. It also has a loyalty program called Mileage Plan which enables customers to earn miles through various activities such as flight bookings that are redeemable towards free travel tickets or upgrades. Since 2017, Alaska Airlines has been part of the global SkyTeam alliance comprising 20 member airlines worldwide.
